Girlawhirl makes it Green with a request for clean green alternative energy resources

In Girlawhirl’s never-ending quest to save the world, she’s turned her energy to, well, new energies. She already knows about solar and wind power, but in her apartment building installing solar panels or a windmill on the roof would definitely be frowned upon. So how can an apartment dweller make an impact? After some research, she was pleasantly surprised to find a very simple way to make her green voice heard…

With the shows in London and New York finished, the fashion flock is now in Milan, checking out what the Italian designers and a few other fashion houses – like Burberry - that show there have up their sleeves for next spring.  Girlawhirl’s been waiting with bated breath to see what Marni, Missoni, Prada, Bluemarine and all the others will send down the runway…

Alligators, Old Mink and New Money

As much as Girlawhirl loves the looks from the runways, the reality is, based on the size of her wallet, it’s up to her to create her own outfits that mimic the proportions and trends of the season. And sometimes the best way to get the look of the moment is to find a piece from the past…

It never fails! Girlawhirl has the usual spring-in-her step associated with debuting a new outfit that she’s sure looks as good as she thinks she looks in it. She maneuvers the maze of office cubicles like a runway, shoulders back, head held high, only to catch a glimpse of herself in the mirror and see the horror of a white deodorant streak staring back at her. One second she’s floating on air, the next she’s running to the nearest sink to get rid of those nasty little swipes of white. And she was so careful this morning! Then, as usual, the process begins—the rubbing, scrubbing, patting and dabbing, wet washcloth in hand. Girlawhirl has had just about enough. But what’s a girl to do…
