Online shopping with girlawhirl: gearing up with Nike + iPod

As much as she tries, Girlawhirl finds that jogging or running, whatever name she gives it, is the hardest part of her exercise program to stick to. There's always an excuse, always a reason not to put on her sneakers and hit the treadmill. She tried everything: an outside route, intervals, hills, and just going slow for as long as she possibly can, but in the long run, she can never quite string together enough weeks of consistent performance to really get into the habit...

In her quest to really see the world, Girlawhirl knows that someday—sooner than she would ever have believed—she'll have to make a decision. Instead of seeing the world by visiting all of its countries, she might be able to really see the world—the whole planet Earth—from outer space!

Girlawhirl learns a little bit about pairing chocolate desserts with wine

When entertaining in the summer, Girlawhirl's M.O. is all about ease. Fresh veggies and a quick dip for appetizers, something grilled for dinner, and usually chocolate or some kind of berry delight for dessert. And when chocolate is part of the dessert menu, Girlawhirl is sure to have extra on hand, because the evenings at her apartment often end with everyone sipping a little wine while nibbling on some chocolate.

Girlawhirl likes to believe that she's got the creativity of an artist. She chooses colors with (what she believes is) precision and thinks that she could, if the situation presented itself, design anything, from a house to a room or even a dress. But recently she's come across a book that in no uncertain terms has pointed out to her that when it comes to design, she could use a little guidance. The book is chock full of design ideas and advice for everyday people—just like Girlawhirl—who want to get their message out through blogs, books, newsletters, magazines, t-shirts, flyers, and more...
